The Bathing Japanese monkeys at Jigokudani

During the winter season, you will not only have a chance to investigate Japanese monkeys but watch some of them bathing. Monkeys in Jigokudani bath not to keep themselves clean but to get through the severe cold climate. For them, bathing is only a part of their daily life and only a bit of their interesting features.

Jigokudani offers you an experience you have never had before!

Monkeys living in Jigokudani can be seen throughout the year, but for the best experience, we highly recommend you to visit Jigokudani in winter.
