Fuji Kawaguchiko Onsen in Yamanashi, Hot Springs With a View on Mt Fuji!


Fuji Kawaguchiko Onsen is in Yamanashi and is famous for its beautiful flower parks, but most importantly its breathtaking view of Mount Fuji! It is a beautiful location for hiking as well. Fuji Kawaguchi Onsens are known for their healing properties and attract many tourists, as much local as international. It is known to be one of the most beautiful onsen spots in Japan, onsen lovers, this is a must-try!

Fuji Kawaguchiko Onsen 富士河口湖温泉

Kawaguchiko is located directly at the base of the world renown Mount Fuji!
Fuji Kawaguchiko Onsen offers a stunning view of the Mount Fuji and is particularly impressive during autumn for the red leaves, and during spring for the cherry blossoms!

Onsen Price

For overnight guests, access to hot spring baths are free, you can even reserve private baths at some facilities. However, if you're just there for a day trip, access to an onsen bath is between 500-1,000 yen for a day use.


<By Bus>
Kawaguchiko Station is the last stop of the Fujikyu Railway. From Tokyo, you can take a highway or a local bus to the bus terminal, which will leave you in front of Kawaguchi Station.
You can then take a local bus which will you take you around Lake Kawaguchiko.


This area is incredibly famous for its amusement park, Fuji Q, and also for its museums, the Kawaguchiko Music Forest, and the ropeway!



Konansou Hotel has incredible reviews but is also on the pricey side. If you want an unforgettable experience which is the epitome of Japanese beauty, you should try this traditional Japanese hotel. While bathing in the hot springs, you will have an incredible view of Mount Fuji. It is difficult to ask for anything more in my humble opinion.
There are also some baths you can reserve for private use if bathing naked with strangers isn't your thing.

Lavista Fuji Kawaguchiko

This hotel is also very appreciated by tourists and also offers an impeccable view of Mount Fuji. However, if you aren't comfortable sleeping in a traditional hotel, this hotel is perfect for you. The interior decor has an incredibly romantic Mediterranean feel! Also, they offer private baths for those who aren't comfortable bathing naked with strangers.


Kawaguchiko Onsen in Yamanashi is a beautiful place to visit. There are wonderful onsens with healing properties, lovely ryokans to stay in while admiring Mt Fuji. If you're looking to have a wonderful and relaxing vacation, this is definitely the place to go.
