Noge Tabemono Yokocho (野毛食べ物横町)

For a true Japanese experience, we can't recommend the Noge Alley enough. It is one of those rare places which hasn't changed much for decades so you find lots of traditional style bars that are very cheap and crowded with locals. It is located along a river, so you can enter the stores either by going up on the 2nd floor overlooking the river or by entering them on the street level. The izakaya taverns of that alley are very small, and most of them are of the tachi-nomi style (drinking while standing). They are very cheap as well! So if you want a good night out without breaking the bank, this is definitely a place you should consider.
You'll recognize the place when you get there by a gate with a red lantern and the many neon lights in front of the stores. Noge Yokocho has become really popular in recent years with younger generations as well. You're guaranteed to have a good time there if you like the rowdy atmosphere of Japanese izakayas.

Address: 2-74-1 Naka-ku, Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture
Access: Located a 5-minute walk from the Sakuragicho Station or the Hinodecho Station.
For more information about the stores and the area, please refer to the official website.

Hoppy Sennin (ホッピー仙人)

If there is one place to be recommended in that Noge Tabemono Yokocho, it might be this Hoppy Sennin store. Don't be surprised to see people queueing to get in this tiny bar, the place is extremely popular. It has a great cozy atmosphere, a friendly bartender and most of all, a cheap and excellent, typically Japanese drink called Hoppy, which is kind of an imitation beer made from shochu (Japanese spirit) and sparkling water. A big mug is ¥500. The drink contains 5% alcohol so it is similar to drinking beer.
Access it by going to the second-floor level and walking along the river path. Take good note of that sign. Also note that this place is only open from 7 PM to 10 PM, so it's a good place to have a few drinks before going somewhere else.

Bar Noble

Bar Noble is one of these perfect bars if you want to feel a comfortable, quaint and classy atmosphere. This is one of the best-rated bars in Yokohama for its drinks. The cocktails are simply beautiful and original too. If you are hungry, you can order pretty hearty meals as well. Noble makes excellent pizzas so try that if you want more than just drinks. With a 3 or 4 drink, this place should cost you about ¥5,000. It's located a 5-minute walk from the Kannai Station.

Motion Blue Yokohama

Located inside one of Yokohama's most iconic landmarks, the historic Akarenga Wearhouse, Motion Blue is a first-class Jazz bar where you can dine on world cuisine (mostly French style) while listening to amazing jazz concerts. The concert charge is about ¥3,000 and the food is about ¥2,500. This is quite reasonable for the quality you get! The alcohol is a bit on the expensive side, however.
If you love jazz, make sure to mark Motion Blue on your bucket list of things to do in Yokohama to enjoy the nightlife!

The Bridge Yokohama Club

For people who are interested in hip-hop music, The Bridge Yokohama would definitely be a good choice to spend the night. The club is popular with Yokohama's youth and there are often special events featuring live hip-hop performers. This is one of the most popular clubs in the city overall.
Located a 1-minute walk from the Chukagai Station.
