Can you recognize that this is Starbucks?
Located in Ninenzaka, a street where you walk on the way to one of the World Heritage, Kiyomizu temple, Starbucks is opening their new store in this traditional Japanese house that was built around 100 years ago.

It is the world's first Starbucks where you enter through the shop curtain and where they provide tatami space!

Walking through the blue shop curtain, a light guides you to a back garden

Its interior and atmosphere is inspired by Kyoto Higashiyama Hanatouro, an event where they light up paper lanterns on the both side of street for people to enjoy a night walk.
You feel like you are walking through a street garden! As you keep on walking, you will see an espresso bar counter at the back of the store.
