5 Awesome Places For Lunch At Enoshima Beach

What to do when the Tokyo summer heat is beaming down on you? Head to the beach! A nice little day trip down to a pleasant little seaside town, Enoshima, is a perfect location to cool off and relax! Enoshima Beach offers plenty of things to do, including island adventures, sunbathing, surfing, eating local seafood, people watching, bar hopping, visiting the aquarium, unique temples, and just generally checking out the cool vibes of the beach town!

Enoshima - Let's Go!

Enoshima is a small seaside town the Shonan coast of Japan’s Kanagawa Prefecture. It’s known for the large island just off the mainland, Enoshima shrine, and wonderful beach activities during the summer. It's also home to hot springs and a 19th-century English-style lighthouse. If you're feeling a little more adventurous head to the Iwaya Caves that feature tidal pools and Buddhist statues.

El Fuego Grill

El Fuego is a steak and hamburg restaurant located just a few minutes walk from Katase-Enoshima station. If meat is the thing you're after this is probably the place you'll wanna go! It's pretty much straight across the road from the aquarium and dolphin show!
Centred on BBQ you'll smell the aromas of meat being barbecued over charcoal. If you're heading here from lunch expect to pay around 2000-3000 yen for lunch.


Located a just 300m from Katase-Enoshima station near the aquarium is Chikuha, a divine little restaurant serving up a local far of freshly caught seafood. If you wanna taste the traditional flavours of what was probably Enoshima a hundred years ago, this is it! They serve up all locally caught seafood in a number of ways - sashimi, sushi. fried, grilled and more!
Get there for lunch as its a total steal, only about 1000-2000 yen per person for a set menu. A popular item here is the whole crab!


Garb is a very stylish beach house style restaurant located just two streets, and less than 100m, from Katase-Enoshima station. I reckon it's one of the best places to enjoy food and drinks in Enoshima - hands down. It has a super nice terrace area upstairs to enjoy drinks and watch the sunset!
Just check out this set meal for lunch - packed with healthy vegetables and protein to reinvigorate your soul! And yes this is just for one person, so make sure to come here on an empty stomach! Expect lunch to be around 2000 yen, it's definitely worth the splurge!

iL Chanti Beache

Il Chanti Beache is an Italian style cafe restaurant located on the beach front of Enoshima, just 100m from Katase-Enoshima station. It's a pretty casual and relaxing affair, yet the food is outstanding!
These guys serve up an array of delicious Italian dishes including some signature pizzas and pastas, but I couldn't look past this Soft Crab Burger! Deep-fried crab with a creamy sauce! Get me here now! Yum!

Enoshima Koya

Koya, located in the centre of Enoshima is just a few minutes walk from Katase-Enoshima station. These specialise fresh seafood, and lots of it. One thing they do that's a little different from most other places in town is their seafood nabe (hot pot). Packed with seasonal local vegetables and fresh seafood.
Lunch costs around 1000-2000 yen depending on what you order, but if you're heading here it's probably to try the seafood hot pot, so think more on the pricier end of the scale.
